Wilderness Life Lodge

Located in Auktsjaur village, Wilderness Life offers both cottages and rustic-style rooms with lake views.

Arvidsjaur town is just a mere 25-minute drive away. All rooms at Wilderness Life have access to free WiFi and are equipped with TV and a bio-fireplace that spreads both warmth and comfort. The rooms have a shared bathroom with shower and toilet which is found in the hallway. In the price breakfast, linens, towels & housekeeping are included. Full-board is possible in our Wilderness Life Café on the ground floor. You also have access to our lounge and sauna. The Wilderness Life café/restaurant serves lunches, local cuisine, drinks and snacks. Guests can also enjoy a drink in the bar. We offer transit to/from Arvidsjaur and Arvidsjaur airport.

For the more adventurous type, we also offer cottages which are located in the woods. These are rustic cottages without electricity or water.

The Reivo cottage is located about a 20 minutes’ drive from the Lodge, which makes it possible to book full-board (this would take place at the Wilderness Lodge). The Reivo cottage comes with its own wood-heated sauna, a private boat and is located in the Reivo Nature Reserve which has beautiful hiking and fishing possibilities.

The Dolvor cottage is a true wilderness cottage located about 50 minutes’ drive from our Wilderness Lodge. When you have reached the end of the forest road, there will be a 1 km hike into the woods to reach the cottage so it really has a unique location in the middle of the wilderness. You have access to a private boat, exciting fishing opportunities and magnificent scenery. Solitude is guaranteed at Dolvor cottage. Because of the location, we recommend that only the more experienced outdoorsmen book this cottage.

Wilderness Life offers a number of different activities throughout the year, such as snowmobile safaris, cross-country skiing, ice fishing and dog sledding during the winter and fishing, hiking, hunting or bushcraft during the autumn and summer. Most equipment needed for our activities can be bought or rented at our Lodge.
